A Doppler test for legs is a non-invasive ultrasound exam that uses sound waves to assess blood flow in leg arteries and veins. It detects narrowed or blocked arteries, blood clots, venous insufficiency, and measures flow speed and direction. A handheld probe scans the skin, often producing color images and waveforms. It’s painless, quick, and used for leg pain, swelling, ulcers, or circulation risk.
