CT Scan PNS Coronal

CT PNS coronal is a computed tomography scan of the paranasal sinuses reformatted in the coronal plane. It gives detailed cross-sectional images of sinus anatomy, the ostiomeatal complex, and bony structures, helping diagnose sinusitis, polyps, fungal disease, fractures, or anatomical variants. A paranasal sinus CT scan is generally not painful. You lie still while brief X‑ray images are taken; the procedure usually takes only a few minutes. If IV contrast is used you may feel a short warm flushing, metallic taste, or mild stinging at the injection site. Some people have discomfort from lying still or mild claustrophobia, but the scan itself is painless.
