BERA (Brainstem Evoked Response Audiometry) is an objective, non‑invasive test that measures electrical activity along the auditory nerve and brainstem in response to sound. Normal results but persistent concerns may prompt behavioral audiometry, otoacoustic emissions, or repeat ABR. Abnormal findings typically lead to diagnostic audiology, imaging (MRI/CT) to check for retrocochlear causes, and early intervention (hearing aids, cochlear implant evaluation, speech therapy) with regular follow-up.
