A CT scan of the neck and chest provides detailed cross-sectional images of the bones, soft tissues, airways, lungs, heart borders, major blood vessels, lymph nodes, thyroid, salivary glands, and esophagus. It detects fractures, tumors, infections, abscesses, inflammation, enlarged lymph nodes, vascular abnormalities (aneurysm, dissection), pulmonary embolism, and metastatic disease, guiding diagnosis and treatment planning.

In India, a CT scan of the neck typically costs between ₹1,500 and ₹6,500. A plain (non‑contrast) CT often ranges ₹1,500–3,000; with contrast it’s usually ₹3,000–6,500 or higher at premium private centres.
