What is a X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View Test in Thane ?
What is X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View?
An X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View produces two X-ray images of your entire spine: one from the side and one from the front. It shows bone alignment, vertebra shape, and major curve patterns. It is non-invasive and shows internal structures directly, providing information that blood and urine tests cannot.
What does X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View show?
It helps doctors detect fractures, abnormal curvatures like scoliosis, degenerative changes, and some signs of infection or tumors. The test is quick and widely available. Doctors use it to evaluate new or persistent back pain, to follow known spine problems over time, and to plan or check results of treatments or surgery. It gives clear structural information but does not show detailed soft tissue or disc problems as well as advanced scans.
What symptoms suggest X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View may be needed?
A doctor may recommend X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View when a patient reports localised pain, swelling, or injury, a lump or restricted movement, or an abnormal finding on an earlier test that needs to be examined directly. In Thane, you can book this test online with home collection available in Hiranandani Estate, Naupada, and beyond.
How is X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View done?
No needle or sample is involved. At an accredited imaging centre serving Hiranandani Estate and Naupada, Thane, a radiographer performs the scan, which is painless and usually completed within 10 to 15 minutes. A qualified radiologist interprets the images and issues a report you can access on GetVisit. (Home collection does not apply to imaging.)
How accurate is X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View?
GetVisit partners only with accredited imaging centres in and around Hiranandani Estate, Naupada, and Thane that use maintained, calibrated equipment and qualified radiographers. Every scan is interpreted by a qualified radiologist, and reports are accepted by hospital networks, specialists, and insurers across India.
Are there any risks to X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View?
Imaging is safe and non-invasive. Ultrasound and MRI use no ionising radiation; X-ray and CT use carefully controlled low doses justified by the diagnostic benefit. Inform staff at the Hiranandani Estate or Naupada, Thane centre if you are pregnant or have implants or metal devices, so precautions can be taken.
Did you know?
AP (anteroposterior) view: X‑rays pass from front to back of the body; often used when patients can’t stand, but can magnify structures like the heart.

Why Take a X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View Test in Thane ?
When does a doctor order X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View?

It helps diagnose fractures, scoliosis, arthritis, compression from osteoporosis, and some infections or tumors.
Who should get X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View done in Thane?
Thane's fast-growing population, monsoon flooding driving leptospirosis and dengue in Mumbra, Kalwa, and Diva, heavy commute and stress burden, and rising diabetes and cardiovascular rates make regular preventive diagnostic testing an essential health investment for residents across the city. Those who benefit most from X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View include patients needing structural assessment that bloodwork cannot provide, and anyone under surveillance for a previously detected abnormality in Thane.
What can X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View help detect?
Abnormal findings frequently result from injury, aging, poor posture, osteoporosis, or congenital conditions. A family history of spinal deformity or early degenerative disease can make this test especially important.
What do X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View results mean?
