What is a X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View Test in Jodhpur ?
What is X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View?
An X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View produces two X-ray images of your entire spine: one from the side and one from the front. It shows bone alignment, vertebra shape, and major curve patterns. It is non-invasive and shows internal structures directly, providing information that blood and urine tests cannot.
What does X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View show?
It helps doctors detect fractures, abnormal curvatures like scoliosis, degenerative changes, and some signs of infection or tumors. The test is quick and widely available. Doctors use it to evaluate new or persistent back pain, to follow known spine problems over time, and to plan or check results of treatments or surgery. It gives clear structural information but does not show detailed soft tissue or disc problems as well as advanced scans.
What symptoms suggest X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View may be needed?
X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View is generally requested as part of a imaging assessment. Doctors commonly investigate this area when someone reports localised pain, swelling, or injury, a lump or restricted movement, or an abnormal finding on an earlier test that needs to be examined directly. Whether X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View specifically is the right test depends on your history and what your doctor is looking for. Sample collection for Jodhpur is available at partner labs, with home collection in many areas including Umed Nagar and Basni; you can confirm availability for your address at booking.
How is X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View done?
This is an imaging scan, not a blood or fluid test, so no sample is collected. A qualified radiographer positions you at an accredited GetVisit-partnered imaging centre in Umed Nagar or Basni, Jodhpur and captures the images in a few minutes. A radiologist reviews them and your report is made available through GetVisit.
How accurate is X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View?
GetVisit partners only with accredited imaging centres in and around Umed Nagar, Basni, and Jodhpur that use maintained, calibrated equipment and qualified radiographers. Every scan is interpreted by a qualified radiologist, and reports are accepted by hospital networks, specialists, and insurers across India.
Are there any risks to X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View?
Imaging is safe and non-invasive. Ultrasound and MRI use no ionising radiation; X-ray and CT use carefully controlled low doses justified by the diagnostic benefit. Inform staff at the Umed Nagar or Basni, Jodhpur centre if you are pregnant or have implants or metal devices, so precautions can be taken.
Did you know?
AP (anteroposterior) view: X‑rays pass from front to back of the body; often used when patients can’t stand, but can magnify structures like the heart.

Why Take a X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View Test in Jodhpur ?
When does a doctor order X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View?
X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View is commonly ordered as part of musculoskeletal or spine imaging when patients have trauma, persistent back pain, visible spinal curves, or nerve-related symptoms. It helps diagnose fractures, scoliosis, arthritis, compression from osteoporosis, and some infections or tumors.
Who should get X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View done in Jodhpur?
Jodhpur's desert climate with extreme summer heat and hard water raising stone risk, ghee-rich Marwari diet driving diabetes and heart disease, and tourism and trade economy make regular preventive testing worthwhile citywide. Imaging benefits patients with pain, swelling, a palpable lump, injury, or an abnormal earlier finding, as well as those monitoring a known condition. GetVisit helps residents of Umed Nagar, Basni, and across Jodhpur book accredited imaging with clear pricing.
What can X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View help detect?
Abnormal findings frequently result from injury, aging, poor posture, osteoporosis, or congenital conditions. A family history of spinal deformity or early degenerative disease can make this test especially important.
What do X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View results mean?
An imaging report describes what the scan shows and whether it is normal or reveals a specific finding. A qualified radiologist interprets the images, and your doctor explains what any finding means for you and whether a further test or treatment is needed. The FAQs below cover what this scan can and cannot show.
How often should X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View be repeated?
For preventive screening with a normal baseline: annually for most adults above 35. For monitoring a known condition: at the interval your specialist recommends, typically every 3 to 6 months for active conditions and annually for stable, well-controlled ones.
What happens after your X Ray Whole Spine Lateral and AP View results are ready?
Reports arrive digitally and remain in your GetVisit history, so repeat tests can be tracked over months and years. Review anything unexpected with your doctor before changing medication or lifestyle, and use the app to book a follow-up if needed.
