What is a X RAY WHOLE SPINE AP LAT STANDING VIEW Test in Thane ?
What is X RAY WHOLE SPINE AP LAT STANDING VIEW?
An X RAY WHOLE SPINE AP LAT STANDING VIEW takes X‑ray pictures of the entire spine from the front (AP) and the side (lateral) while you stand. It shows the alignment, curvature, and spacing of the vertebrae.
What does X RAY WHOLE SPINE AP LAT STANDING VIEW show?
The spine supports the body and protects the spinal cord, so its shape and stability matter for movement and pain. This test helps find scoliosis, kyphosis, fractures, degenerative changes, and some congenital problems. Standing images show how gravity affects spinal alignment and can reveal deformities or instability that lying down images may miss. Doctors use it to diagnose issues, to monitor progression, and to plan or assess treatment, sometimes alongside MRI or CT for more detail.
What symptoms suggest X RAY WHOLE SPINE AP LAT STANDING VIEW may be needed?
A doctor may recommend X RAY WHOLE SPINE AP LAT STANDING VIEW when a patient reports localised pain, swelling, or injury, a lump or restricted movement, or an abnormal finding on an earlier test that needs to be examined directly. If you have these symptoms, GetVisit offers booking and home collection across Pokhran Road, Louis Wadi, and other parts of Thane.
How is X RAY WHOLE SPINE AP LAT STANDING VIEW done?
No needle or sample is involved. At an accredited imaging centre serving Pokhran Road and Louis Wadi, Thane, a radiographer performs the scan, which is painless and usually completed within 10 to 15 minutes. A qualified radiologist interprets the images and issues a report you can access on GetVisit. (Home collection does not apply to imaging.)
How accurate is X RAY WHOLE SPINE AP LAT STANDING VIEW?
Image quality and interpretation are the two pillars of accuracy. GetVisit's accredited centres serving Pokhran Road and Louis Wadi, Thane maintain modern equipment, and a qualified radiologist reviews each study before the report is issued.
Are there any risks to X RAY WHOLE SPINE AP LAT STANDING VIEW?
A standard X-ray uses a very low dose of radiation considered safe for diagnostic use; ultrasound uses sound waves and involves no radiation at all. If you are or might be pregnant, tell the centre in Pokhran Road or Louis Wadi, Thane beforehand so the safest approach can be chosen. There is no needle and no recovery time.
Did you know?
A "whole spine X‑ray lat" is a single lateral radiograph that images the entire spinal column, from cervical through sacral levels, usually with the patient standing.
