What is a X Ray Neck AP and Lateral View Test in Nagpur ?
What is X Ray Neck AP and Lateral View?
An X Ray Neck AP and Lateral View gives two plain X-ray images of the cervical spine: one from the front (AP) and one from the side (lateral). It shows the bones, the spaces between vertebrae, the alignment of the spine, and nearby soft tissue outlines.
What does X Ray Neck AP and Lateral View show?
It is important because it helps detect fractures, dislocations, arthritis, bone infections, and some tumors. It can also suggest narrowing of spaces that might press on nerves or the airway. Doctors use these views as a first-line test after neck trauma, when people have persistent neck pain, limited motion, or signs of neurological problems. The images guide further testing and treatment decisions, such as CT, MRI, immobilization, or surgery.
What symptoms suggest X Ray Neck AP and Lateral View may be needed?
A doctor may recommend X Ray Neck AP and Lateral View when a patient reports localised pain, swelling, or injury, a lump or restricted movement, or an abnormal finding on an earlier test that needs to be examined directly. GetVisit makes testing convenient in Nagpur, with lab slots and home collection in Wardhaman Nagar, Khamla, and nearby areas.
How is X Ray Neck AP and Lateral View done?
This is an imaging scan, not a blood or fluid test, so no sample is collected. A qualified radiographer positions you at an accredited GetVisit-partnered imaging centre in Wardhaman Nagar or Khamla, Nagpur and captures the images in a few minutes. A radiologist reviews them and your report is made available through GetVisit.
How accurate is X Ray Neck AP and Lateral View?
GetVisit partners only with accredited imaging centres in and around Wardhaman Nagar, Khamla, and Nagpur that use maintained, calibrated equipment and qualified radiographers. Every scan is interpreted by a qualified radiologist, and reports are accepted by hospital networks, specialists, and insurers across India.
Are there any risks to X Ray Neck AP and Lateral View?
A standard X-ray uses a very low dose of radiation considered safe for diagnostic use; ultrasound uses sound waves and involves no radiation at all. If you are or might be pregnant, tell the centre in Wardhaman Nagar or Khamla, Nagpur beforehand so the safest approach can be chosen. There is no needle and no recovery time.
Did you know?
AP (anteroposterior) view is an X‑ray taken front‑to‑back, with the beam entering the anterior chest and exiting posteriorly; it’s often used when patients cannot stand.

Why Take a X Ray Neck AP and Lateral View Test in Nagpur ?
When does a doctor order X Ray Neck AP and Lateral View?
X Ray Neck AP and Lateral View is commonly ordered as a cervical spine series in emergency and orthopedic settings. Doctors request it for trauma, sudden severe neck pain, suspected fracture, swollen neck, or difficulty swallowing.
Who should get X Ray Neck AP and Lateral View done in Nagpur?
Nagpur's growing population, extreme summer heat with high dehydration and kidney-stone risk, oil- and sugar-rich diet driving diabetes and heart disease, and seasonal monsoon infections make regular preventive diagnostic testing worthwhile for residents across the city. Imaging benefits patients with pain, swelling, a palpable lump, injury, or an abnormal earlier finding, as well as those monitoring a known condition. GetVisit helps residents of Koradi Road, Dhantoli, and across Nagpur book accredited imaging with clear pricing.
What can X Ray Neck AP and Lateral View help detect?
It helps detect fractures, dislocations, arthritis, infection, and space-occupying lesions. Abnormal findings often result from injury, degenerative disease, infection, or tumors. Family history of bone disorders or spine problems may increase the need for early imaging.
What do X Ray Neck AP and Lateral View results mean?
Findings are graded from normal to significant, and comparison with any previous scan shows whether a known finding is stable, improving, or progressing. Your doctor explains the report in the context of your symptoms. See the FAQs below for more detail on this scan.
How often should X Ray Neck AP and Lateral View be repeated?
For preventive screening with a normal baseline: annually for most adults above 35. For monitoring a known condition: at the interval your specialist recommends , typically every 3 to 6 months for active conditions and annually for stable, well-controlled ones.
What happens after X Ray Neck AP and Lateral View results are ready?
