What is a X Ray Cervical Spine Lateral and AP View Test in Thane ?
What is X Ray Cervical Spine Lateral and AP View?
An X Ray Cervical Spine Lateral and AP View produces X-ray images of the neck bones from the side (lateral) and front-to-back (AP). It shows bone alignment, vertebral shape, spacing, and obvious fractures.
What does X Ray Cervical Spine Lateral and AP View show?
The cervical spine protects the spinal cord and supports the head. This imaging helps detect broken bones, dislocations, arthritis, degenerative changes, and some infections or tumors. Doctors use these views after trauma, with persistent neck pain, or when nerve symptoms occur. They also use the images to monitor known cervical problems and to decide if more detailed scans, like CT or MRI, are needed.
What symptoms suggest X Ray Cervical Spine Lateral and AP View may be needed?
A doctor may recommend X Ray Cervical Spine Lateral and AP View when a patient reports localised pain, swelling, or injury, a lump or restricted movement, or an abnormal finding on an earlier test that needs to be examined directly. GetVisit makes testing convenient in Thane, with lab slots and home collection in Mumbra, Wagle Estate, and nearby areas.
How is X Ray Cervical Spine Lateral and AP View done?
No needle or sample is involved. At an accredited imaging centre serving Mumbra and Wagle Estate, Thane, a radiographer performs the scan, which is painless and usually completed within 10 to 15 minutes. A qualified radiologist interprets the images and issues a report you can access on GetVisit. (Home collection does not apply to imaging.)
How accurate is X Ray Cervical Spine Lateral and AP View?
GetVisit partners only with accredited imaging centres in and around Mumbra, Wagle Estate, and Thane that use maintained, calibrated equipment and qualified radiographers. Every scan is interpreted by a qualified radiologist, and reports are accepted by hospital networks, specialists, and insurers across India.
Are there any risks to X Ray Cervical Spine Lateral and AP View?
A standard X-ray uses a very low dose of radiation considered safe for diagnostic use; ultrasound uses sound waves and involves no radiation at all. If you are or might be pregnant, tell the centre in Mumbra or Wagle Estate, Thane beforehand so the safest approach can be chosen. There is no needle and no recovery time.
Did you know?
AP (anteroposterior) view means X‑rays pass front-to-back through the body; often used when patients lie supine or cannot stand, which can magnify structures.
