What is a X Ray Both Hindfoot Alignment Long Axial View (Weight Bearing) Test in Noida ?
What is X RAY BOTH HINDFOOT ALIGNMENT LONG AXIAL VIEW(WEIGHT BEARING)?
This X-ray view shows the alignment of the hindfoot bones while you stand. It images the heel (calcaneus), talus and surrounding joints under your body weight. It is non-invasive and shows internal structures directly, providing information that blood and urine tests cannot.
What does WEIGHT BEARING show?
Weight-bearing views reveal how the foot carries load during normal standing and walking. This is important because malalignment can cause pain, abnormal gait, arthritis, and tendon problems. The test helps detect fractures, flatfoot, hindfoot varus or valgus, and post-surgical changes. Doctors use it to plan surgery, guide treatment decisions, and monitor healing or progression of deformity.
What symptoms suggest WEIGHT BEARING may be needed?
WEIGHT BEARING is generally requested as part of a imaging assessment. Doctors commonly investigate this area when someone reports localised pain, swelling, or injury, a lump or restricted movement, or an abnormal finding on an earlier test that needs to be examined directly. Whether WEIGHT BEARING specifically is the right test depends on your history and what your doctor is looking for. GetVisit makes testing convenient in Noida, with partner-lab slots and home collection offered in many areas including Sector 18 and Sector 93.
How is WEIGHT BEARING done?
This is an imaging scan, not a blood or fluid test, so no sample is collected. A qualified radiographer positions you at an accredited GetVisit-partnered imaging centre in Sector 18 or Sector 93, Noida and captures the images in a few minutes. A radiologist reviews them and your report is made available through GetVisit.
How accurate is WEIGHT BEARING?
Image quality and interpretation are the two pillars of accuracy. GetVisit's accredited centres serving Sector 18 and Sector 93, Noida maintain modern equipment, and a qualified radiologist reviews each study before the report is issued.
Are there any risks to WEIGHT BEARING?
A standard X-ray uses a very low dose of radiation considered safe for diagnostic use; ultrasound uses sound waves and involves no radiation at all. If you are or might be pregnant, tell the centre in Sector 18 or Sector 93, Noida beforehand so the safest approach can be chosen. There is no needle and no recovery time.
Did you know?
The hindfoot alignment view is a weight‑bearing radiograph (Saltzman/long axial) used to assess the relationship between the tibial axis and calcaneus.

Why Take a X Ray Both Hindfoot Alignment Long Axial View (Weight Bearing) Test in Noida ?
When does a doctor order X RAY BOTH HINDFOOT ALIGNMENT LONG AXIAL VIEW(WEIGHT BEARING)?
X RAY BOTH HINDFOOT ALIGNMENT LONG AXIAL VIEW(WEIGHT BEARING) is ordered as part of foot and ankle imaging when doctors evaluate heel pain, deformity, or injury. It helps diagnose flatfoot, hindfoot varus/valgus, fractures, and arthritic changes.
Who should get WEIGHT BEARING done in Noida?
Noida's large IT and corporate workforce, NCR pollution exposure, extreme seasonal temperatures, high combined diabetes and cardiovascular prevalence, and monsoon infection peaks make regular preventive testing important citywide. Those who benefit most from WEIGHT BEARING include patients needing structural assessment that bloodwork cannot provide, and anyone under surveillance for a previously detected abnormality in Noida.
What can WEIGHT BEARING help detect?
The conditions diagnosable through WEIGHT BEARING depend on the specific markers the test measures. Results either confirm a suspected diagnosis, support a clinical suspicion requiring further investigation, or effectively exclude the condition the test was screening for. Abnormal results can come from trauma, overuse, congenital differences, or progressive arthritis and past surgery. Family history of foot deformities or hereditary flatfoot can make this view more important for assessment and planning.
What do WEIGHT BEARING results mean?
An imaging report describes what the scan shows and whether it is normal or reveals a specific finding. A qualified radiologist interprets the images, and your doctor explains what any finding means for you and whether a further test or treatment is needed. The FAQs below cover what this scan can and cannot show.
How often should WEIGHT BEARING be repeated?
For preventive screening with a normal baseline: annually for most adults above 35. For monitoring a known condition: at the interval your specialist recommends, typically every 3 to 6 months for active conditions and annually for stable, well-controlled ones.
What happens after your WEIGHT BEARING results are ready?
Once your results appear in your GetVisit profile, discuss them with your doctor or a GetVisit-verified specialist. Your doctor will interpret each value in the context of your full health history, current medications, and symptoms, and advise on the next step: lifestyle change, repeat testing, medication adjustment, or specialist referral. All GetVisit reports are stored permanently and can be shared with any doctor instantly.
