What is a X Ray both Femur AP & LAT view Test in Thane ?
What is X Ray both Femur AP & LAT view?
An X Ray both Femur AP & LAT view takes X-ray images of each thigh bone from front (AP) and side (LAT). It shows bone shape, position, and alignment. It is non-invasive and shows internal structures directly, providing information that blood and urine tests cannot.
What does X Ray both Femur AP & LAT view show?
This test helps find fractures, dislocations, bone infections, tumors, or growth plate problems. It also checks how a broken bone is healing after treatment. Doctors use these views to decide on casts, surgery, or further imaging like CT or MRI. The two views give a more complete picture than a single image.
What symptoms suggest X Ray both Femur AP & LAT view may be needed?
A doctor may recommend X Ray both Femur AP & LAT view when a patient reports localised pain, swelling, or injury, a lump or restricted movement, or an abnormal finding on an earlier test that needs to be examined directly. Sample collection for Thane is available at labs and at home across Manpada, Kasarvadavali, and surrounding neighbourhoods.
How is X Ray both Femur AP & LAT view done?
This is an imaging scan, not a blood or fluid test, so no sample is collected. A qualified radiographer positions you at an accredited GetVisit-partnered imaging centre in Manpada or Kasarvadavali, Thane and captures the images in a few minutes. A radiologist reviews them and your report is made available through GetVisit.
How accurate is X Ray both Femur AP & LAT view?
GetVisit partners only with accredited imaging centres in and around Manpada, Kasarvadavali, and Thane that use maintained, calibrated equipment and qualified radiographers. Every scan is interpreted by a qualified radiologist, and reports are accepted by hospital networks, specialists, and insurers across India.
Are there any risks to X Ray both Femur AP & LAT view?
Imaging is safe and non-invasive. Ultrasound and MRI use no ionising radiation; X-ray and CT use carefully controlled low doses justified by the diagnostic benefit. Inform staff at the Manpada or Kasarvadavali, Thane centre if you are pregnant or have implants or metal devices, so precautions can be taken.
Did you know?
The exam is quick, widely available, and useful in emergency and outpatient settings to guide treatment and follow-up.
