What is a X Ray Both Elbow Lateral and AP View Test in Thane ?
What is X Ray Both Elbow Lateral and AP View?
An X Ray Both Elbow Lateral and AP View produces two X-ray images of each elbow: a front-to-back (AP) view and a side (lateral) view. It does not measure a blood chemical. It is non-invasive and shows internal structures directly, providing information that blood and urine tests cannot.
What does X Ray Both Elbow Lateral and AP View show?
Instead, it shows the bones, joint spaces, and nearby soft tissues. This helps detect fractures, dislocations, arthritis, growth-plate injuries, infections, and some bone tumors. Doctors use it to confirm injury after trauma, to investigate persistent pain or swelling, and to check healing after treatment. The two views give a clearer picture of bone alignment than a single view.
What symptoms suggest X Ray Both Elbow Lateral and AP View may be needed?
A doctor may recommend X Ray Both Elbow Lateral and AP View when a patient reports localised pain, swelling, or injury, a lump or restricted movement, or an abnormal finding on an earlier test that needs to be examined directly. If you have these symptoms, GetVisit offers booking and home collection across Ghodbunder Road, Kalwa, and other parts of Thane.
How is X Ray Both Elbow Lateral and AP View done?
This is an imaging scan, not a blood or fluid test, so no sample is collected. A qualified radiographer positions you at an accredited GetVisit-partnered imaging centre in Ghodbunder Road or Kalwa, Thane and captures the images in a few minutes. A radiologist reviews them and your report is made available through GetVisit.
How accurate is X Ray Both Elbow Lateral and AP View?
Image quality and interpretation are the two pillars of accuracy. GetVisit's accredited centres serving Ghodbunder Road and Kalwa, Thane maintain modern equipment, and a qualified radiologist reviews each study before the report is issued.
Are there any risks to X Ray Both Elbow Lateral and AP View?
A standard X-ray uses a very low dose of radiation considered safe for diagnostic use; ultrasound uses sound waves and involves no radiation at all. If you are or might be pregnant, tell the centre in Ghodbunder Road or Kalwa, Thane beforehand so the safest approach can be chosen. There is no needle and no recovery time.
Did you know?
A normal lateral elbow X‑ray (true lateral, 90° flexion) shows superimposed humeral condyles, the olecranon in profile, and the radial head aligned with the capitellum (radiocapitellar line).

Why Take a X Ray Both Elbow Lateral and AP View Test in Thane ?
When does a doctor order X Ray Both Elbow Lateral and AP View?
X Ray Both Elbow Lateral and AP View is commonly ordered as part of musculoskeletal imaging for elbow problems. Doctors request it after trauma, sudden pain, visible deformity, swelling, or limited movement.
Who should get X Ray Both Elbow Lateral and AP View done in Thane?
Thane's fast-growing population, monsoon flooding driving leptospirosis and dengue in Mumbra, Kalwa, and Diva, heavy commute and stress burden, and rising diabetes and cardiovascular rates make regular preventive diagnostic testing an essential health investment for residents across the city. Those who benefit most from X Ray Both Elbow Lateral and AP View include patients needing structural assessment that bloodwork cannot provide, and anyone under surveillance for a previously detected abnormality in Thane.
What can X Ray Both Elbow Lateral and AP View help detect?
It helps diagnose fractures, dislocations, arthritis, infection, and growth-plate or tumor concerns, and it is used to monitor healing. Abnormal results often come from injury, degenerative disease, infection, or tumors, and a family history of bone disorders or childhood growth issues may make imaging more important.
What do X Ray Both Elbow Lateral and AP View results mean?
