Urine Drug Screen- Benzodiazepines

Routine urine benzodiazepine immunoassays reliably detect diazepam and its metabolites (nordiazepam, temazepam, oxazepam). Lorazepam, alprazolam, clonazepam and triazolam are often poorly detected by standard screens and may require specific immunoassays or confirmatory testing (GC‑MS/LC‑MS). Detection windows vary by dose, frequency and assay cutoffs; metabolites can persist days to weeks, especially with chronic or high‑dose use.

Urine drug screens commonly detect amphetamines (including methamphetamine), cocaine metabolites, cannabinoids (THC), opiates/opioids (morphine, codeine, heroin; some panels include oxycodone and fentanyl), benzodiazepines, barbiturates, methadone, buprenorphine, and PCP.
