Pan B - Cell Marker : CD 19

CD19 is a transmembrane protein expressed broadly on B‑lineage cells from early precursor (pro‑ and pre‑B) stages through mature B lymphocytes. It is commonly used as a B‑cell marker in immunophenotyping and diagnostics and serves as a therapeutic target (e.g., CAR‑T, monoclonal antibodies). CD19 expression is typically lost when B cells terminally differentiate into plasma cells and is absent on T cells and hematopoietic stem cells.

CD19 positive means a cell expresses the CD19 surface protein, identifying it as part of the B‑cell lineage. It’s used in blood tests and flow cytometry to detect and quantify normal B cells or B‑cell cancers (like certain leukemias and lymphomas).
