What is a MRI Scan Sialography Parotid Glands Test in Thane ?
What is MRI Scan Sialography Parotid Glands?
MRI sialography is a type of MRI that creates detailed pictures of the parotid salivary glands and their ducts. It shows gland size, duct shape, blockages, inflammation, and masses without using X-rays.
What does MRI Scan Sialography Parotid Glands show?
This matters because salivary glands help start digestion and keep the mouth moist. The test helps find stones, strictures, infections, chronic inflammation, autoimmune changes, and tumors. Doctors use it to confirm a diagnosis, plan surgery or procedures, and monitor response to treatment. It is noninvasive and useful when ultrasound or clinical exam are unclear.
What symptoms suggest MRI Scan Sialography Parotid Glands may be needed?
A doctor may recommend MRI Scan Sialography Parotid Glands when a patient reports localised pain, swelling, or injury, a lump or restricted movement, or an abnormal finding on an earlier test that needs to be examined directly. GetVisit makes testing convenient in Thane, with lab slots and home collection in Balkum, Kolshet, and nearby areas.
How is MRI Scan Sialography Parotid Glands done?
This is an imaging scan, not a blood or fluid test, so no sample is collected. A qualified radiographer positions you at an accredited GetVisit-partnered imaging centre in Balkum or Kolshet, Thane and captures the images in a few minutes. A radiologist reviews them and your report is made available through GetVisit.
How accurate is MRI Scan Sialography Parotid Glands?
GetVisit partners only with accredited imaging centres in and around Balkum, Kolshet, and Thane that use maintained, calibrated equipment and qualified radiographers. Every scan is interpreted by a qualified radiologist, and reports are accepted by hospital networks, specialists, and insurers across India.
Are there any risks to MRI Scan Sialography Parotid Glands?
A standard X-ray uses a very low dose of radiation considered safe for diagnostic use; ultrasound uses sound waves and involves no radiation at all. If you are or might be pregnant, tell the centre in Balkum or Kolshet, Thane beforehand so the safest approach can be chosen. There is no needle and no recovery time.

Why Take a MRI Scan Sialography Parotid Glands Test in Thane ?
When does a doctor order MRI Scan Sialography Parotid Glands?
MRI Scan Sialography Parotid Glands is an imaging study used in head and neck or salivary gland panels to evaluate duct and gland structure. Doctors order it when patients have swelling, pain, repeated infections, dry mouth, or a lump near the jaw.
Who should get MRI Scan Sialography Parotid Glands done in Thane?
Thane's fast-growing population, monsoon flooding driving leptospirosis and dengue in Mumbra, Kalwa, and Diva, heavy commute and stress burden, and rising diabetes and cardiovascular rates make regular preventive diagnostic testing an essential health investment for residents across the city. Imaging benefits patients with pain, swelling, a palpable lump, injury, or an abnormal earlier finding, as well as those monitoring a known condition. GetVisit helps residents of Vasant Vihar, Manpada, and across Thane book accredited imaging with clear pricing.
What can MRI Scan Sialography Parotid Glands help detect?
