What is a Mammogram Both Breast With Tomosynthesis (3D) Test in Jodhpur ?
What is MAMMOGRAM BOTH BREAST WITH TOMOSYNTHESIS (3D)?
A mammogram with tomosynthesis (3D) is an X-ray exam that takes layered pictures of both breasts. It measures breast structure and shows masses, calcifications, and areas of tissue that look unusual. It is non-invasive and shows internal structures directly, providing information that blood and urine tests cannot.
What does 3D show?
This test is important because it helps find small cancers early, often before symptoms develop. Doctors use it for routine screening and to investigate symptoms like a lump or nipple change. Tomosynthesis gives clearer, slice-by-slice images than standard 2D mammography. That can improve detection in dense breasts and reduce false alarms.
What symptoms suggest 3D may be needed?
3D is generally requested as part of a imaging assessment. Doctors commonly investigate this area when someone reports localised pain, swelling, or injury, a lump or restricted movement, or an abnormal finding on an earlier test that needs to be examined directly. Whether 3D specifically is the right test depends on your history and what your doctor is looking for. In Jodhpur, you can book this test online and check whether home collection reaches Paota, Shastri Nagar or your address.
How is 3D done?
This is an imaging scan, not a blood or fluid test, so no sample is collected. A qualified radiographer positions you at an accredited GetVisit-partnered imaging centre in Paota or Shastri Nagar, Jodhpur and captures the images in a few minutes. A radiologist reviews them and your report is made available through GetVisit.
How accurate is 3D?
GetVisit partners only with accredited imaging centres in and around Paota, Shastri Nagar, and Jodhpur that use maintained, calibrated equipment and qualified radiographers. Every scan is interpreted by a qualified radiologist, and reports are accepted by hospital networks, specialists, and insurers across India.
Are there any risks to 3D?
Imaging is safe and non-invasive. Ultrasound and MRI use no ionising radiation; X-ray and CT use carefully controlled low doses justified by the diagnostic benefit. Inform staff at the Paota or Shastri Nagar, Jodhpur centre if you are pregnant or have implants or metal devices, so precautions can be taken.
Did you know?
Breast tomosynthesis (3D mammography) uses the same compression as standard mammography, so many people experience similar discomfort, ranging from mild pressure to brief moderate pain.

Why Take a Mammogram Both Breast With Tomosynthesis (3D) Test in Jodhpur ?
When does a doctor order MAMMOGRAM BOTH BREAST WITH TOMOSYNTHESIS (3D)?
MAMMOGRAM BOTH BREAST WITH TOMOSYNTHESIS (3D) is used as a screening or diagnostic imaging study within routine breast health care. It is ordered for people with no symptoms as routine screening and for those with lumps, nipple changes, pain, or abnormal findings on exam.
Who should get 3D done in Jodhpur?
Jodhpur's desert climate with extreme summer heat and hard water raising stone risk, ghee-rich Marwari diet driving diabetes and heart disease, and tourism and trade economy make regular preventive testing worthwhile citywide. Those who benefit most from 3D include patients needing structural assessment that bloodwork cannot provide, and anyone under surveillance for a previously detected abnormality in Jodhpur.
What can 3D help detect?
It helps diagnose cancer, benign lumps, and calcifications. Abnormal results can be caused by dense breast tissue, hormonal changes, prior surgery, or malignancy. Family history of breast cancer or known genetic risk increases the need for this test.
What do 3D results mean?
An imaging report describes what the scan shows and whether it is normal or reveals a specific finding. A qualified radiologist interprets the images, and your doctor explains what any finding means for you and whether a further test or treatment is needed. The FAQs below cover what this scan can and cannot show.
How often should 3D be repeated?
For preventive screening with a normal baseline: annually for most adults above 35. For monitoring a known condition: at the interval your specialist recommends, typically every 3 to 6 months for active conditions and annually for stable, well-controlled ones.
What happens after your 3D results are ready?
You will be notified as soon as the laboratory releases your results, usually within 24 to 48 hours. Open the report in the GetVisit app to see each value beside its reference range, share it with your doctor in a tap, or book a specialist consultation to talk it through.
