What is a GTT 100 gms GLUCOSE TEST Test in Guwahati ?
What is GTT 100 gms GLUCOSE TEST?
The GTT 100 gms Glucose Test measures how your blood sugar changes after you drink a 100-gram glucose solution. It shows how well your body processes and removes sugar from the bloodstream. India has the world's second-largest absolute diabetes burden, and the majority of cases remain undiagnosed for years before detection, a gap that regular testing directly addresses.
What does GTT 100 gms GLUCOSE TEST measure?
Good blood sugar control is important for overall health and for a safe pregnancy. The test mainly helps detect gestational diabetes and abnormal glucose tolerance. Doctors use it after a positive screening test or when risk factors are present. Results guide treatment, diet and monitoring during pregnancy.
What symptoms suggest GTT 100 gms GLUCOSE TEST may be needed?
GTT 100 gms GLUCOSE TEST is generally requested as part of a blood sugar assessment. Doctors commonly investigate this area when someone reports excessive thirst, frequent urination, unexplained weight loss, blurred vision, fatigue, slow-healing wounds or cuts, recurrent skin or urinary tract infections, and tingling or numbness in the hands or feet. Whether GTT 100 gms GLUCOSE TEST specifically is the right test depends on your history and what your doctor is looking for. If you have these symptoms, You can book online for Guwahati, and check home-collection availability for Bhangagarh, Beltola or your own address during booking.
