What is a CT Scan Spine Dorsal Test in Thane ?
What is CT Scan Spine Dorsal?
A CT Scan Spine Dorsal is an imaging test that creates detailed cross‑sectional pictures of the thoracic (middle) spine. It shows bone, the discs between vertebrae, the spinal canal, and nearby soft tissues.
What does CT Scan Spine Dorsal show?
These images help identify fractures, disc problems, spinal stenosis, infections, tumors, and other structural issues. The test is important because it gives clearer detail than plain X‑rays. Doctors use it to diagnose causes of back pain or nerve symptoms. It also helps plan surgery, guide injections, and monitor healing after injury or treatment.
What symptoms suggest CT Scan Spine Dorsal may be needed?
A doctor may recommend CT Scan Spine Dorsal when a patient reports localised pain, swelling, or injury, a lump or restricted movement, or an abnormal finding on an earlier test that needs to be examined directly. If you have these symptoms, GetVisit offers booking and home collection across Louis Wadi, Pokhran Road, and other parts of Thane.
How is CT Scan Spine Dorsal done?
This is an imaging scan, not a blood or fluid test, so no sample is collected. A qualified radiographer positions you at an accredited GetVisit-partnered imaging centre in Louis Wadi or Pokhran Road, Thane and captures the images in a few minutes. A radiologist reviews them and your report is made available through GetVisit.
How accurate is CT Scan Spine Dorsal?
GetVisit partners only with accredited imaging centres in and around Louis Wadi, Pokhran Road, and Thane that use maintained, calibrated equipment and qualified radiographers. Every scan is interpreted by a qualified radiologist, and reports are accepted by hospital networks, specialists, and insurers across India.
Are there any risks to CT Scan Spine Dorsal?
A standard X-ray uses a very low dose of radiation considered safe for diagnostic use; ultrasound uses sound waves and involves no radiation at all. If you are or might be pregnant, tell the centre in Louis Wadi or Pokhran Road, Thane beforehand so the safest approach can be chosen. There is no needle and no recovery time.

The scan is fast and often used when precise bone detail is needed.

Why Take a CT Scan Spine Dorsal Test in Thane ?
When does a doctor order CT Scan Spine Dorsal?
CT Scan Spine Dorsal is typically part of spinal imaging studies ordered for persistent back pain, trauma, or neurological symptoms such as numbness or weakness. Doctors request it to diagnose fractures, disc herniation, spinal narrowing, infections, or tumors and to plan surgery or interventions.
Who should get CT Scan Spine Dorsal done in Thane?
Thane's fast-growing population, monsoon flooding driving leptospirosis and dengue in Mumbra, Kalwa, and Diva, heavy commute and stress burden, and rising diabetes and cardiovascular rates make regular preventive diagnostic testing an essential health investment for residents across the city. Imaging benefits patients with pain, swelling, a palpable lump, injury, or an abnormal earlier finding, as well as those monitoring a known condition. GetVisit helps residents of Kalwa, Kasarvadavali, and across Thane book accredited imaging with clear pricing.
What can CT Scan Spine Dorsal help detect?
Abnormal results often stem from injury, degenerative changes, infection, or malignancy. A strong family history of spinal disease or cancer may prompt earlier or more frequent imaging.
What do CT Scan Spine Dorsal results mean?
Findings are graded from normal to significant, and comparison with any previous scan shows whether a known finding is stable, improving, or progressing. Your doctor explains the report in the context of your symptoms. See the FAQs below for more detail on this scan.
How often should CT Scan Spine Dorsal be repeated?
For preventive screening with a normal baseline: annually for most adults above 35. For monitoring a known condition: at the interval your specialist recommends , typically every 3 to 6 months for active conditions and annually for stable, well-controlled ones.
What happens after CT Scan Spine Dorsal results are ready?
Once your results appear in your GetVisit profile, discuss them with your doctor or a GetVisit-verified specialist. Your doctor will interpret each value in the context of your full health history, current medications, and symptoms, and advise on the next step: lifestyle change, repeat testing, medication adjustment, or specialist referral. All GetVisit reports are stored permanently and can be shared with any doctor instantly.
