A whole abdomen ultrasound with TVS combines a standard abdominal scan (liver, gallbladder, spleen, kidneys, pancreas and abdominal vessels) with transvaginal sonography (an internal probe to image the uterus, ovaries and adnexa). It enhances detection of pelvic and abdominal issues—masses, cysts, fibroids, ectopic pregnancy or fluid. It’s safe and non‑invasive; preparation may include fasting and bladder instructions (full for abdominal/pelvic, empty for TVS).

A 3D TV test is a quick vision check to see if your eyes can fuse two images into a single three‑dimensional view. It assesses stereopsis and binocular alignment using anaglyph frames or stereograms (e.g., Titmus or Randot‑style images). It helps identify depth‑perception issues, eye misalignment or amblyopia that can cause discomfort, headaches or poor 3D perception before using 3D displays.

Transvaginal ultrasound (TVS) gives higher-resolution images of pelvic organs—best for the uterus, ovaries, endometrium and early pregnancy—whereas abdominal ultrasound surveys a larger area, useful for big masses, later pregnancy or when TVS isn’t possible. The optimal choice depends on the clinical question, patient comfort, body habitus and pregnancy stage; clinicians often use both complementarily.
